What we do

We give children a safe, friendly place to talk about how they feel, and we help the adults in their lives know what to say and do.

After-school groups

Small, relaxed groups where children play games, make things and learn simple ways to handle worries, anger and sadness together.

One-to-one sessions

Time with a trained, friendly adult for children who find it easier to talk on their own, at a pace that suits them.

Help for parents and carers

Advice, drop-in chats and practical ideas for supporting your child at home, so you're not working it out on your own.

Workshops in schools

Fun, age-appropriate sessions that help whole classes talk about feelings, plus training for teachers and school staff.

Getting support is easy

Parents, carers, teachers and other professionals can all get in touch. You don't need a diagnosis or a referral.

  1. Get in touch

Send us a message using the form below, or give us a call. Tell us a little about your child and what's been happening.

  2. Have a friendly chat

Matt will call you back for an informal chat about what might help, with no pressure and no forms to fill in.

  3. Find the right fit

Together we'll choose a group, one-to-one sessions or support for you, whatever suits your child best.

Hi, I'm Matt

I set up Growth Team to give local children a safe, friendly place to talk about how they feel, and to help their families feel less alone with it.

[A few lines from Matt about his background, why he started the charity, and the team and volunteers who help run it.]

“Big feelings are a normal part of growing up. No child should have to carry them on their own.”

Help us help more children

We're a small charity and every bit of support makes a real difference to the children we work with.
